The Kandahar is an elegant, yet casual lodge surrounded by alpine splendor atop Big Mountain. This intimate mountain inn adds romance and charm to any occasion, or solitude and relaxation to business gatherings. Our lodge offers 50 elegant rooms in 6 floor plans; garret, hotel, studio, loft, kitchen loft and executive suite. The rooms are finished in pine, tile and granite for added beauty. Leather furniture, down comforters, microwaves and small refrigerators are provided for luxury and convenience.

Enjoy our destination restaurant Cafe Kandahar featuring Chef Andy Blanton. The Cafe serves creative cuisine with a classical foundation and showcasing locally cultivated products, wild game and the freshest ingredients.

At the end of the day, enjoy sharing your adventures at the Snug Bar or in the comfortable lobby with its huge river rock fireplace that fills the air with warmth and the comfort of a crackling fire.

Our Wellness Center houses a large exercise room, massage spa, steam room and outdoor hot tub. A massage therapist is staffed in the afternoon/evening for your relaxation.

The Northern Lights Conference room is perfect for small meetings and conferences. It can accommodate 25-50 people depending on the desired configuration. Catering is available by Cafe Kandahar.
