Loveland Ski Area – "Loveland unpretentious great snow!"
Loveland is one of the unsung wonders of Colorado skiing. I have lived in colorado for 30 years and Loveland always gets good snow, is well groomed and not too crowded. The only complaint I might have is that when it is windy Loveland can be unbearable. I like that it does not have all the condo development and is more like how skiing used to be in the old days but with all the nice modern advances like snow making and high speed chairs. If you are coming from out of state, stop on the way to summit county at Loveland and ski your first day on top of the tunnel! Gwen Goldsmith Denver Resident

Loveland Ski Area – "Close to Denver is great!"
Loveland is a great ski area because it is close enough to Denver to do some skiing in the morning and still make it to work for a half day in the office.

Loveland Ski Area – "Local Heaven"
I used to live withing a half-an-hour to loveland, but now I moved down to Denver. But i still am devoutly a Loveland skier. It is the shortest distance from DEnver of any ski area. It used to have the highest lift in Colorado(until breckinridge made one 15 feet higher but with barely any servicable terrain) Theres no lodging by Loveland, so you'd have to stay in Evergreen. But Loveland has a huge variation in terrain, and entire separate lodge with runs devoted to learning. (there are shuttles going between all day) And Loveland has some of the best snow in the state, much better then the areas around it.

Loveland Ski Area – "Skiing November 10 - Great early season skiing."
Skied here on Friday the 10th of November and the skiing was exceptional for this time of year. There were 3 inches of new snow, three chairs open with about 15 runs. The cover was great with no rocks and plenty of terrain. Soft bumps mixed with groomers made for a great early November day of skiing. There is more snow happening with another big stomr on its way. Looks like there will be even more terrain open for Thanksgiving holidays.
