Snowshoe's come a long way in the last 33 years. But, despite the resort's amazing evolution, one thing on this Mountain has not changed---the snow! We still get more than 180 inches annually.
Snowshoe Mountain offers 234 skiable acres spread over three faces with 57 total slopes and trails. The Western Territory offers the longest continuous vertical drop of any resort in the Southeast. Nearly 40% of Snowshoe's terrain falls under "More Difficult" but there is plenty of room for beginners to learn. 41% of the trails at Snowshoe Mountain are green runs, offering comfort for beginners and fun for cruising even if you are more advanced.
Snowshoe Mountain is a four-season, Intrawest destination resort situated in the southern portion of the pristine Allegheny Mountains. The 2005 – 2006 winter season saw 169 inches of natural snowfall for a season that lasted 131 days, the most in the region. On average, the Resort sees a total of 180 inches of natural snowfall every year. Snowshoe Mountain Resort is made up of two distinct mountains which skiers and snowboarders can take advantage of using one lift ticket.
